Village Montessori, Indianapolis, IN, seeks Montessori Lead Teacher for ages 3-6

Village Montessori is an established Montessori school in the heart of Broad Ripple Village in Indianapolis, Indiana, located in a beautiful historic home.
We are an amazing community of supportive families, dedicated staff and inquisitive, happy children. In all aspects of the school, the teacher’s input is necessary, valued and respected. We have a well-equipped environment with the intent to maintain a high level of quality and understand the importance of staying current in all areas of the classroom. Current staff is knowledgeable and is able to execute the aspects of the Montessori philosophy and practice. We are dedicated to children and providing them with the highest quality Montessori experience.
Our environment includes an outdoor classroom on the adjacent front porch and front yard. Our natural playground behind the school has a large sandbox, rope swing and other equipment to encourage movement, learning and socialization. We go outside in all kinds of weather and do not shy away from getting dirty!
The school is also home to 3 chickens and a Russian tortoise, and the children and parents help care for them.
As a 501(c)(3), our Board of Directors is comprised of former parents of the school and certified Montessorians with a strong commitment to the children that we serve and the staff that we lead.
Applicant should have their Montessori Early Childhood (3-6) Certification from a MACTE approved certification program, be working toward this credential or is eager to become certified.
Salary commensurate with experience. Compensation includes 5 weeks of paid vacation during school breaks.
